The Hotel Villa Marta is a charming nineteenth-century hunting lodge just 5km from the medieval walled town of Lucca. Set in a typical Tuscan landscape of rolling hills, verdant woodland and ancient olive groves, this handsome white stucco building offers a restful retreat to visitors. The picturesque medieval town of Lucca is easily accessible by car and not far away from the artistic and cultural centers of Florence, Pisa and Siena.
This magical family-run hotel has recently been lovingly restored and guests are guaranteed the highest standards of hospitality. There are 11 spacious and comfortable rooms, all with en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, satellite/cable TV, direct-dial phone line, and a well-stocked minibar. Every room is tastefully and individually furnished and decorated and guests can choose between marvelous frescoed ceilings or magnificent views. Families can request interconnecting rooms or borrow cots and room service and laundry service are available.
There is an excellent restaurant (be sure to book in advance as it gets very popular in high season) serving delicious Lucchese specialties, such as Tuscan salami and Galletto Al Forno, while the inviting lounge/bar serves a range of cocktails and aperitivi.
