This 12th century building housed a girls boarding school during the 1800. Closed for the last 10 years, it was recently restored to its former splendor and prepared for its present use thanks to the Iacopini family.
This work has left unaltered the original structure of the building, and has successfully created an elegant, magnificent residence in the heart of Lucca.
The decor reflects the noble Lucchese style, all the bedrooms are built using the antique wood floors, fine marble and other local stones in the bathrooms.
The entrance hall, breakfast room, bar and lobby are tastefully decorated with fine fixtures and upholstery in elegant pastel hues.
Even a Breakfast here, a wide choice of fresh local products, is presented in harmonious style and elegance with fine silver services, porcelain and crystal.
Known today as the Palazzo Alexander the hotel encompasses four floors of rooms and apartments, all with modern, private bathrooms - some with whirlpool baths.
In addition, all rooms contain such conveniences as satellite television, telephones, hairdryers and computer hook-ups.

Exititing motorways A11 or A12 drive to city center and by the ancient city walls, enter into Porta San Donato.
Once entered the walls, reach via Santa Giustina by turning right in the via Pelleria and the via San Tommaso. Proceed to via Galli Tassi and turn left at the first crossing. You are welcome.
